Cebu - Camotes : Arrival in Cebu and transfer to Camotes
Cebu Island is in the middle of the Visayas Region, on a 200km long island, its width doesn’t exceed 40km. This is one of the main cultural and economic hubs of the Philippines. Cebu is the eldest city of the country, also called Queen City of the South. Economically speaking, the city is very active in terms of exports and BPO.
Upon arrival in Cebu Mactan International Airport, your driver will be waiting for you outside the terminal to take you to the pier 1 of Cebu city where you will board the fast craft (Ocean Jet) bound to Camotes Island, it takes less than 2 hours to reach this destination.
A vehicle will wait for you at the pier of Poro to take you to your resort: Santiago Bay Resort. Overlooking the beach and equipped with 2 swimming pools and 1 restaurant, it is one of the best places in the island. You can easily go down on the beach and try the local food or order a drink.

Camotes : Day tour to discover the island
Camotes is actually a group of 3 main islands (Poro, Pacijan and Ponson) and 1 small islet (Tudela). The roads are not in great condition, so you don’t see a lot of vehicles there aside from motorbikes and tricycles. The legend has it that when the Spaniards arrived and asked the locals the name of their island, they replied “Camote” as they were cultivating their field and thought they were asked about their crop.
After breakfast, you will get in a multicab to visit the best spots of these islands: Mangodlong rock, Paraiso Cave, Lake Danao, Tulang diot Sand bar or snorkeling, Timubo Cave, Baywalk, Buho Rock, Bukilat Cave and Busay Falls. Don’t forget your swimsuit and your sunscreen!

After breakfast, you will leave the resort and Camotes to go back to Cebu Island. You will take the ferry bound to Danao. Upon arrival, your driver will meet you and you will head North. It takes less than 2 hours to reach Hagnaya, the entry port to Santa fe, in Bantayan.
Bantayan is a small island (16km in length and 11km in width) in the North of Cebu that was badly hit by Yolanda Typhoon back in 2013. But now, it is difficult to see the damages that were caused 5 years ago. People really enjoy this lively island made of 3 municipalities: Santa Fe, Bantayan and Madridejos. Among the locals, this island is famous for its delicacy: the bulad. This is a dried fish whose smell can be quite disturbing for unused people. Filipinos usually fry it again before serving it.
Bantayan is also famous for its festival that takes place every year during holy week, it is one of the most festive place during this time of the year, and that’s probably why so many people head there. It’s a great destination away from the city where you can enjoy a long white sand beach.
Upon arrival, a vehicle will be waiting for you to accompany you to Amihan Beach Cabanas, your resort for the next three nights.
You can start enjoying the beach, walk around and check the neighborhood. You may rent a bicycle or a motorbike to go around and visit the Octong Cave, for instance. At night, people usually hang out in the center of Santa Fe, just a ride of tricycle away, in MJ Square.
