A hundred years in the history, De La Salle University aims to connect faith and education in the service of society while staying motivated by the founder's charism, and aspires to be atop learner-centered research. To also help and support working students, the University broadened its reach by offering evening classes through The College of Career Development, a DLSU academic unit. Numerous years after the establishment of DLSU system, the community college was renamed De La Salle - College of Saint Benilde.

In 1999, in order to respond to the demands of the hospitality sector for a really top-notch hospitality education. The College of Saint Benilde's Hotel & Restaurant Intitution Management established a hotel school which was initially opened as CSB Hotel and continuously gave quality programs and practiced the hotel business and education. Following the years, The CSB Hotel was renamed Hotel Benilde Maison De La Salle in 2014 and most recently spinned off into a full commercial operation under a new management group.

Manila is the bustling capital of the Philippines, making it the center of commerce, culture, and government in the entire country. It also serves as the gateway for local and international travelers, with its major airport terminals and busy seaports serving many trips from within and outside of the country.

Before anything, it is essential to know that Manila can mean two ways. First, it can mean the City of Manila, which is made up of 16 administrative districts. It is also referred to as “Old Manila” by many locals. Second, Manila may mean the National Capital Region (NCR) or Metro Manila, made up of several cities such as Manila City, Makati, Quezon City, Pasay, and Taguig, among others.

Day 4 : Puerto Princesa : discover the longest subterranean river

Puerto-Princesa Subterranean River National Park encompasses one of the world’s most impressive cave systems, featuring spectacular limestone karst landscapes, pristine natural beauty, and intact old-growth forests and distinctive wildlife. It is located in the south-western part of the Philippine Archipelago on the mid western coast of Palawan, approximately 76 km northwest of Puerto Princesa and 360 km southwest of Manila.

The property, comprising an area of approximately 22,202 ha, contains an 8.2km long underground river. The highlight of this subterranean river system is that it flows directly into the sea, with its brackish lower half subjected to tidal influence, distinguishing it as a significant natural global phenomenon. The river’s cavern presents remarkable, eye catching rock formations. The property contains a full mountain-to-sea ecosystem which provides significant habitat for biodiversity conservation and protects the most intact and noteworthy forests within the Palawan biogeographic province. Holding the distinction of being the first national park devolved and successfully managed by a local government unit, the park’s effective management system is a symbol of commitment by the Filipino people to the protection and conservation of their natural heritage.

You will leave in the morning, around 7am from your hotel to discover this marvel of the world as well as Elephant Cave. Lunch will be served in Sabang.

Day 12 : Coron : free day or optional island hopping (Reef and Wrecks or Island Escapade)

This day is completely free and at leisure. There are no scheduled activities, and the tours mentioned below are optional suggestions only, should you wish to explore more of Coron.

Coron was the scene of major World War II sea battles between American and Japanese forces, leaving behind several sunken ships that remain visible today. Because the waters here are relatively shallow, some of these historic wrecks can even be seen with simple snorkeling gear—no special equipment required.

If you’d like to be active on this free day, one popular optional choice is the Reefs and Wrecks Tour. This tour offers an up-close look at vibrant marine life, healthy corals, colorful reef fish, and occasionally sea turtles. The crystal-clear waters also reveal sunken WWII ships resting just about ten feet below the surface—one of the reasons Coron is considered a snorkeler’s paradise. Common stops include Lusong Gunboat, Lusong Coral Gardens, and Pass Island.

Another optional experience is the Island Escapade Tour, which visits nearby islands such as Malcapuya, Ditaytayan, and Bulog Dos. These islands are known for their powdery white sand beaches and stunning turquoise waters—perfect for travelers seeking a peaceful tropical escape away from the crowds.
